Backlink Checker
Verify that backlinks are live — paste source URLs and your target domain to confirm each link exists, find the anchor text, and detect nofollow.
Found — link is live
The source page was fetched and a link to your domain was found. The anchor text and rel attribute are shown. A live backlink is passing link equity to your site. Check the anchor text — exact-match anchors are powerful but a natural mix of branded, generic, and partial-match is healthier.
Not found — link is missing
The page was fetched successfully but no link to your domain was found. The link may have been removed, the page redirected, or it's in JavaScript (not parseable). Contact the site owner to ask about the link, or remove it from your backlink tracking list.
rel="nofollow"
The link exists but has rel="nofollow".
Google may still follow and index the link but it doesn't pass
PageRank (link equity). Nofollow links still drive traffic and can have
brand value, but they count less for SEO than dofollow links.
Where to get source URLs
Export backlinks from Google Search Console → Links → External links (free). Or use Ahrefs → Backlink profile → New links to find recently acquired links. Use this tool to verify the links are still live before reporting them.
Error / fetch failed
The source page couldn't be fetched — the site may be down, blocking bots, or the URL may be wrong. Try opening the URL manually in your browser. If the page loads normally, the site may be blocking automated requests.
Using this for link building
Run this tool after link building campaigns to confirm placements went live. Track link health monthly — links get removed without notice. Export to CSV and import into a spreadsheet to track link status over time. A lost link is worth a follow-up email to recover.
